Sketchboards Recalled Because of Choking Hazard

In a press statement, Battat Inc, in compliance and cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has recalled many of their Toulouse-LapTrec Magnetic Sketchboards distributed across North America. The roughly 95,000 affected units are believed to be a choking hazard for small children, and there have been 19 cases reported where children removed the magnetic tip from the end of the pen. No serious injuries have been reported. Consumers are being urged to remove the sketchboards from children immediately and contact the company for a free replacement.

As a Tacoma personal injury lawyer, I’ve seen similar product recalls in the past and know the severity of the injuries these products can cause. If you or your child has been injured through the use of a defective product, it may be in your best interests to speak with an experienced personal injury lawyer in your city to learn more about your rights as a consumer and the legal avenues open to you.
